3rd Punic War- notes

1. Scipio Aemilianus (Roman and son of Africanus) goes to Carthage and sieges the city and completely destroy it
2. Cato the Elder was known for ending all of his speeches with "Carthage must be destroyed."
3. Cato burned and destroyed Carthage, spread salt over the remains over the land so nothing would grow there ever again
